Landon Frost

Owner & Head Coach, Frost Elite Sports
Scholarship-Level Athlete Performance Trainer Baseball + Softball

I'm a former multi-sport, scholarship-level athlete turned performance trainer, focused on helping baseball and softball players improve their skills and reach their potential. With experience in high-level competition, advanced instruction, and hands-on coaching, I work to provide athletes with practical, detail-oriented training in a supportive, high-energy environment.

My playing success led to scholarship offers from multiple schools across different divisions. After an injury shifted my path, I continued my career at Corban University, where I was a four-year starting outfielder, earned the Cascade Conference Golden Glove Award, and played for the Bend Elks of the West Coast League to pursue getting drafted. I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Business and Sports Management.

My coaching approach is shaped by years of learning from elite mentors, including:
Jack Intelcoferformer MLB player and MLB manager
Ryan Gibsonformer Oregon State University player and current Oregon State coach
Jeff McKayFounder of Baseball Northwest, Tampa Bay Rays scout, former Corban University head coach, and former Royals scout
Jacob GarsezHead University of Oregon Tech coach, Head coach at Antelope Valley University
Allen Embreeformer MLB player and World Series winner with the Red Sox
Dean Stilesformer University of Oregon coach and current San Jose State coach
Scott Dewittformer minor league player and trainer

Their guidance helped me refine my techniques in hitting, fielding, pitching, and strength and conditioning, shaping a high-energy, detail-oriented coaching style focused on long-term athletic development and building confident, powerful competitors.

Clackamas HS Alum Pitcher of the Year honors all four years School’s strikeout record

Softball has been my passion for as long as I can remember, shaping who I am both on and off the field. Growing up in Clackamas and playing at Clackamas High School, I poured every ounce of energy into the game, earning Pitcher of the Year honors all four years, multiple All-Conference and All-State accolades, and setting the school’s strikeout record. Every pitch, every game, and every challenge fueled my drive to compete at the highest level and inspired me to help others reach their full potential.

Elite Training

I’ve been fortunate to train under some of the very best in the game, learning from legends whose expertise shaped the player and coach I am today:

Mike White One of the best college coaches in America, former head coach of the University of Oregon, and current head coach of the University of Texas. A former pitching standout for U.S. National Teams, Mike taught me to master the mental and physical aspects of pitching at the highest level. His mentorship helped me develop precision, strategy, and confidence on the mound that still define my approach today.
John Gay Considered one of the best fastpitch softball pitching coaches in the nation, John’s intensity, focus, and innovative techniques pushed me to new heights. He taught me how to dominate in high-pressure situations and to always strive for perfection in every pitch.
Amy Harris A standout pitcher for the University of Oregon, Amy set the lowest ERA in 10 years (1.30 in 2005), became the Ducks’ all-time strikeout leader with 487 strikeouts, and earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors. Known for her clutch postseason performances and leadership on the field, Amy showed me how to combine skill, poise, and determination to perform at the highest level when it matters most.
Coaching Career

After college, I spent eight years coaching at Rex Putnam High School, where I had the privilege of guiding young athletes, building championship teams, and creating a culture of dedication, teamwork, and relentless improvement. Today, I am proud to be the head coach at Clackamas High School, returning to my roots to give back to the community that shaped my love for the game. Coaching isn’t just a career for me, it's a calling. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching athletes develop confidence, passion, and skills that carry them far beyond the softball field.

Every day, I aim to inspire players to push beyond their limits, embrace the challenges, and fall in love with the game as deeply as I have. Softball has given me so much, and my mission as a coach is to give back, one pitch, one game, and one player at a time.
